Halloween parties

Friday night we went to a fall festival at the girls' new school - we had so much fun with our pink princess and little lady bug :-)

Tonight we went to the Trunk or Treat at church - we had so much fun and the girls got to have a lot of "firsts" tonight. Rachel LOVED her first lollipop and BOTH girls LOVED cotton candy!!

Natalie also went on her first bouncie house slide

And the girls had their first taste of cotton candy. I loved these little princesses! The pink princess has a cute and curious little sister....

Natalie was amazed at the fairy and asked her if she was a fairy. She told her "yes" and that she was a beautiful princess. Natalie was mezmorized.....too cute!

Toilet Paper

Natalie came in the other night - very proud that she had changed out the toilet paper.....

Arboretum with Grandma

Grandma, Natalie and myself (Erica) went to the arboretum this past weekend to enjoy their fall festival. Beautiful flowers and ample photo ops EVERYWHERE. The only negative was that Matt and Rachel weren't there to enjoy it with us (Rachel's getting over a cold). We had so much fun looking at all of the castles, pumpkins, going thru mazes, etc....

Helper girls

I love that kids think putting away the dishes is cool......I'm going to let them help me as long as I can!!!!

Zoo Visit

.Another thing that we did this month was go to the Dallas Zoo. Matt was on a guy's camping trip and the girls and I decided to enjoy a beautiful fall day and hit the zoo - it was great. We ended our day with going to see our church friends for dinner and hanging out - it was a really fun day.

Texas State Fair

We had a good time at the Texas State fair this year - it was Rachel's 1st fair and Natalie's 2nd. Had a great time and it just happened to be my birthday as well - SCORE!! The Texas State fair mascot is Big Tex. Natalie was fascinated by him and even this weekend was talking about him to Grandma.

The girls had a good time "testing" cars out with dad - we always enjoy sitting in them and dreaming about which one we'll buy next.

We then went to the pavilion where they give out free samples and scored some ice cream cones. We enjoyed those and got to watch some dancing - clogging? i think.... Natalie and this other little kid really enjoyed it. And Rachel missed out on all the fun - party pooper.... :-)

And I have to give a nod to my birthday present this year. I actually bought this the day before the fair (which was my real birthday). I took the afternoon off work and went to Neimans and got myself my first (and probably only) Louis. A very extravagant birthday present but I'm so happy with my purchase and plan to get my monies worth out of it.s..w..e...e...t.........

Pigeons

Children's Musuem

We got an annual membership to the Dallas Children's Museum/Nature and Science Museum and have really been enjoying ourselves. They have rotating science exhibits upstairs and the children's museum downstairs. It's great knowing that for the next 10 months we can go anytime we want and they girls have so much fun.

Silly mommy - silly rachel! Natalie's just ready to dig for dino bones....

Silly girls

Natalie's 3rd birthday (yes, this is an old post!)

This year Natalie wanted a princess birthday so I made her a cake for school and we bought her a couple of princess dresses. She's wearing her Belle dress to school and having fun with her sister.

i'm finally getting around to posting the end of august pictures so i'm only 2 months behind now (yikes!). this was my attempt at recreating her princess cake from omaha for her birthday party at school. i was actually ok with how it turned out. unfortunately for rachel, her cupcakes were not picture worthy (they were blue with little goldfish crackers to represent bubble guppies). sorry rachel!
